    The ricochet can be a good thing too. A good friend's fiance was shot just above the eye with a 22. The bullet ricocheted off her eye socket bone down into her mouth then in into her stomach. She lost her eye but no other damage. The bullet would have penetrated into her brain had it been a larger caliber.
