April has been quite a month. Events started April 4 with a huge congratulations to Rick Tegtmeier, CGCS, MG, for being inducted into the Iowa Golf Hall of Fame!

As spring has officially arrived, I wanted to step back and thank everyone for their hospitality and efforts during the first quarter of 2019.

It was 6 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20 in St. Paul, Minn. As I ripped open the curtains to my hotel room, I saw that the predictions were true.

The Golf Industry Show's positive momentum continues. But the conclusion of GIS is not the end. Not by any stretch. In many ways it is the beginning. Exciting events upcoming in the Central Plains region illustrate the point.

As 2018 winds down, it has been a pleasure to not only make key visits to members and chapters in the region, but to also work with our chapter outreach team across the country.
