Help Needed Cancel The title field is required!

   New owner took over an abandoned golf course and without any knowledge of turfgrass maintenance ( him) entrusted me to start mowing all areas , we have some jacobsen equipment in decent shape as far as engines go but really bad reels on all. They are rusted and have been neglected for a while!!.
   Right now we don't have a mechanic. What are my options to get this mowers going? I am located in the central florida area. Any help will be greatly appreciated, the faster the better.

   An option would be to call around to other local golf courses to see if there is an equipment technician out there looking to make a few bucks on the side to help get you operational. As a courtesy, make for sure you talk to their superintendent first so that they are aware you are just looking for a little help and not looking to poach their staff. You can also call your local dealers to have them send somebody out.

   Bartram high school in St. John's Florida has a turf class perhaps they need a class project? You could also ask your Jacobsen salesman you never know he might know a retired superintendent or mechanic who could get you up and running. Once there was a turf school in central Florida could still be some alumni around that could help. Think it was around Lake city.

   I would visit a local golf course and talk with the Superintendent. we tend to help others out if with nothing else with free advice.
   
   lapping reels may help but they may need to be ground.

   Juan did you have any luck finding some help? I'm in Lakeland FL if you are still ooking let me know. I know its been a few months
