Well the Twinkies and Coke's aren't paying the bills at my local station this morning, went from 3.27 to 3.42, and down the street, 3.65.....go figure.

But for Ron, the coffee was till the same price.

Anyone else notice the gas prices creeping up, a lot! I paid $3.04 a couple weeks ago. $3.75 last night.

Interestingly, I haven't heard one mention of the rise in gas prices on the news or in the papers. I presume prices have increased everywhere, yes?

Paid $3.75 for non-ethanol at the shop last Thursday. The lowest it's been in the past six months has been $3.42 in November that we've seen. I haven't gotten the bills for this weeks fill-up, but I'm sure it's gone up.

Barrel is up near $ 97 and some change. Heard on the news this morning that we are still looking at gas average prices to drop for 2013. http://www.eia.gov/forecasts/steo/. Our prices averaged $ 3.19 UL, $ 3.65 Dies less taxes for the season trending lower that last quarter of the year.

About two weeks ago it when from $2.98 here to $3.09, luckily I caught it going into work on payday and filled up at a station that hadn't jumped yet. Then a week later it went to $3.19, then yesterday morning saw it jumping to $3.29, (on our payday again), luck would have it I filled up again at a station that hadn't changed yet. Called my wife who was running our son to school and she was able to fill up at another station before it changed. I think we saved about $2.00.....I love sticking it to the man.

Watch them go up again this year, not down. The EPA just put another unreachable demand on the petroleum industry. I don't remember the % but producers must meet an even higher number of cellulose based fuel yet the availability is zero! It is another stealth tax that we will pay because the petroleum producers must pay the fine even though the availability doesn't exist. How come I hear so little concern over fuel prices from so many of you now, yet when Bush was President, it was all about big oil, he and the VP's connections to the oil industry and how they were helping their buddies? Is this political? Obama has decimated the coal industry as he promised and he certainly hasn't done much to increase fuel sources. All of the new material hitting the market is coming from private land, not government owned locations. Why the pass on the Obama administration?

Obama got the Dow at less than 7 and it broke 14 yesterday.

Sandy do you have a link to the new regulations? Only thing I found was some that are being proposed.

Just paid $3.95 at Costco for 91 octane. Regular was at $3.75. Other gas stations in San Diego are almost $3.90 for regular and over $4 for Supreme(91 octane). Glad the tank on the Mercedes Smart Car is only 8.5 gallons.

This is the first report I have seen regarding higher gas prices. Looks like we set another record today, "This is the highest price record for February 1st," says OPIS analyst Tom Kloza..."

    Sandy,

Obama promised to decimate an entire industry and he got re-elected? We must have the stupidest electorate in the world's history.

Jeff, I fear we do. Too many can tell you what is going on with some pretend TV character but have no clue what is going on around them. Way too few pay attention!

Gas prices to continue to rise. I believe this is, approximately, the 30th business day in a row prices have risen. Another milestone, gas prices have never been this high this time of year.

I'm not too far from Clay, went from 3.69 to 3.84 to now 4.09 today....just like Chicago weather, wait 5 minutes and it'll change.

And the US is a gasoline exporter?

Up about $.40 in the Bay area in the last month with the average back over $4.00/gallon. Saw a story on the news last night where it looked like along with California those getting hardest hit were in the Midwest. It also showed all the states down through the middle of the country (Colorado and north and south of there) with the smallest increases.

I heard $4.38 for regular this morning. I paid $4.48 for premium for my sports car Saturday. San Diego is as high as Hawaii right now. I think this has been part of the plan all along!

The total number of mines in the United States increased 3.1 percent in 2011.
Consumption was also up 1.6 percent for the smelting industry, which used 21.4 million short tons of coke. Consumption of steam coal for electricity did fall off 4.4 percent.
