Groundsmaster 4000 side decks will not lower(they are in the raised position now). When the switch is pressed to lower, the decks will not move.  The centre deck raises and lowers normally. The blades will turn on for the centre deck. All other functions work except lowering of side decks

Check S1 valve on lift circuit for corrosion on stem, and power to solenoid. Switch to lower decks.

S1 is labelled as “Enable” . Which one would I swap it with to see if it is functioning properly?
I did notice today that when the deck switch is pressed to raise the engine changes tone just like the line is dead headed. When released the engine tone returns to normal.

I would find the center deck PTO block and swap the solenoid to see if that works, If that does not
swap the relief valve to see if it could be the valve. Make sure the stem is not corroded on relief valve. it sounds like it might be the manifold that controls flow to the wing decks if neither deck will lower. The same type of valves are in play, a solenoid has to open a valve to let oil to the wing decks cylinders. Good luck.
