We have a 1440 Massey that keeps blowing 15 AMP fuse to start circuit. I have looked at all pinch points and open harness areas pulled and pushed the harness twisted tweaked and can't get it to blow a fuse in front of me even put a 20 amp in and it would blow them when the boss was using it to fertilize fwys. Should I put in a 30 amp  and see what burns up. We were going to put a new harness on engine and main section but they are no longer available. Any thoughts out their.

If it has a seat switch check the wiring harness under the seat that goes to it. I had a similar problem on a Yanmar farm tractor. The wire would rub on the set pan and blow intermittently. Very hard to see. The fuse only blew when I was 5 miles from home. For a test only you could bypass the seat switch and see what it does.

I wouldn't overload the circuit with a higher fuse. Instead try to use a circuit breaker fuse which will reset. What kind of starter is on there?  It could be related to starter contacts wearing. Common problem with denso starters.
