Looking for any similarities with a recent ailment we just encountered:
Lost a nut off a pinion gear in the rear differential and suddenly looking at $3000 in parts to rebuild.

Is anyone else seeing this on a 4 year old machine or is ours a one off?

    Thanks.

I can't believe that price. Rip off. Did it crack the casing?

A shim pack came unglued and got tore up. The slop that  ensued between the pinion and ring gears started chipping off chunks and that debris got through the entire rear end before it seized up. They're telling me nothing was spared. 5 year old unit.  Heavy use. I know it's a complicated rear end.  Just wondering if there's a pattern with them because in all other ways it's a fantastic unit.

We just had a new 2020 Truckster rear end blow up.  Not sure what gave way but they replaced the entire rear end under warranty so fixed for free.  Still disconcerting and we lost its use when we really needed it.  Next heavy gonna be a Workman I think.
