    Heard on the morning news that Corona sales are down.
    Don't know which way they are voting but their intelligence is  scary.

    Corey,

    Have to agree about how some of these folks brains work. Same folks who expect to make their fortune playing video games or posting videos. Going to be some interesting times ahead!

    Hey Corey,

    If you have to shove a lemon, lime, or orange wedge down the bottleneck it can’t be very good beer anyway.

    On a more serious note about the Corona Virus, are any of you taking extra precautionary measures or safeguards for your operation/membership? I'm in a very winter tourist area with many members/guests that emigrate here in SW FL. Thoughts or strategies?

    Thanks,

    Mr. Wagner;

    We close our clubhouse in January and February and open up on March 1.The golf course usually opens up mid - April.  In our area this has been a mild winter with very little snow. Our Board of Governors believes that in abundance of caution and in deference to the staff and members, who fall within the high risk category, they have made the decision to close the clubhouse  and cancel all member events until April 3rd. The clubhouse will be locked and access to the building will be restricted. We had four non member functions in March and all four had no problem re-scheduling at a later date.

    The golf course is currently open with temporary greens. The greens will officially open on Friday, March 20th, and will be open for play despite the clubhouse being closed. Carts will not be available until the clubhouse and pro shop are open. The course reservation system is not expected to be operational until the pro shop opens.

    We respectfully request that that you follow suggested guidelines for social distancing while on the course, and if you are exhibiting cold or flu symptoms that you not come to the course to play, even as a single player.

    As the situation evolves, we will update our response plan, and keep the members informed of any changes.

    What is everyone planning to do with their staff? We discussed the possibility of everyone still working as long as they aren't sick. If the number of infected in our area gets significant we discussed having staggered start times or waiting in the parking lot and one at a time each enter the building, get on their machine and go, then the next do the same. Avoiding all contact with each other in the building and while out mowing. Then later 1 person at a time put their equipment away. We have already been disinfecting commonly touched surfaces around the shop.

    Hype? I have a personal reliable source who has said a local Indy tv station news director was heard in the production room saying that they really needed to hype the virus coverage. They need the public to be more afraid. This should be as criminal as yelling Fire in a theater.

    I believe it.  Remember Rham Emmanuel " You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."   Proof is the "subsidy bill just signed"  Whether it pertains to media or politics..
