The CIA should get involved, obviously.

What a complete and utter buffoon. I did not even vote for her, but still makes me embarrassed to admit I have lived here my whole life.

I feel your shame. President-electoral Trump makes me embarrassed to be from the United States.

Yes that would be me. I do not see any evidence of warming for the last 18 years. I do not see anything more than the cyclical nature of nature. I have never heard how .003 % increase in CO2 [which is plant food] can increase the temperature. Did you know in the 90"s , clinton and gore reduced the number of reporting stations from about 4000 to 1800 in the united states? Have you seen the evidence that NOAA change the data on the temperature over the last 20 yeas so the data corresponded to their climate change computer models? Did you know the Great Lakes Froze over last winter?
This is all about gov't takeover of the energy sector. If they control this, along with a carbon tax---then we are destined for the one world gov't the progressive liberal want. Not big government but one government.
My question for any liberal is why do you think govenment more can solve your problems?
    Have a blessed free day!

Where did you get the .003% number?

No. Where did you see that?

    Proves nothing.

I find it incredible that 97% of not only the U.S. but all the world's climate scientists and all the nations' governments have created this enormous conspiracy in order to restrict our freedoms.

The government can't solve all our problems, but they do solve some. Try to get around without roads.

If you want to live in a country with minimal government I suggest Somalia.

    Here's a little more evidence.

Or you could work your way to the glacier country of the Wind Rivers and take a look at the melted out areas that were parts of glaciers in the mid-90's.

I'm pretty sure all the glaciers that carved out the great Yosemite Valley have all melted.

I'm just as sure they didn't all melt in a few decades but took a thousand years or more.

And I do not deny global warming BTW, I just am extremely skeptical of mankind's role in it, I also feel that rather than pour money into limiting carbon we (not the government ) should invest in new technology, that is the real solution- I cant imagine that in 100 years we will still be using carbon based fuels the same way that we are now.

Understanding dendrochronology and that relationship would be a good and factual place to start.

Climate records over the last 50 years. What has changed in that time?

How far has the temp increased around the equator?

It's not just about the small areas we live in. The north and south poles are seeing the biggest and most extreme changes.

Comparing Climate Change and Global Warming....Are they the same thing?

If the earth's temperatures are rising, and weather patterns are changing, what difference does it make? If the best science we have tells us that rising temperatures will cost humanity a crushing price, and that the best chance we have of counteracting it is reducing fossil fuel emissions, whats the downside?

There is no argument that burning fossil fuels degrades air quality and has a high human health cost. Look at every city in every developing country in the world?

Whats the negative in reducing fossil fuel combustion aside from higher costs?
