Probably never used it, huh?
I always laugh at the guys that think Floratine is simply Urea, and the only product on the market that contains it.
Look at the label of pretty much any liquid fertilizer. You'll find Urea. Any why? It's cheap and effective. If you sold a product you'd want to keep your cost of goods down, right?
Was that a shot or do you agree on Urea's effectiveness? Our local extension service recommends urea only for spoonfeeding after testing all of the liquid/bio things on the market. I'm not saying Floratine or the other spoon fed products don't work but it isn't right for the golf course I am tasked to manage. Floratine may be super but I know what I'm getting out of urea and I like what I see. Why change?
I agree, Urea works wonders. As does the Floratine products, Griggs, Redox, etc....but, I don't think you can compare a Floratine program, let alone any of their single products, with straight Urea.
It wasn't a shot at you personally. It seems like everytime someone mentions Floratine, someone else chimes in with the Urea jargon. 9 times out of 10 they have probably never had first hand experience using the product. The original question was about Floratine, not Urea.
Other than the high salt index, I like Urea too. Cheap. $16 a bag, melts right down, and gives you a good jump when you need it. But, for regular foliar sprays, we usually have some kind of Floratine product in the tank, not just Urea.
