    In the past week or so, I've been required to repeatedly login to the forums despite my attempts to save my settings. Is anyone else getting this screen EVERY time they try to access the forum?
    [attachment=0">Login Required.jpg[/attachment">
    It happens on my work PC, Mac laptop, and my Mac at home. I don't recall having any problems before with the site "remembering me"...

    I get it every time I try to go from already being looged on to the Forum to Member Directory, for example.

    Very frustrating and annoying. Takes forever, almost as if I was still on dial-up.

    Just tried it again, and this time I didn't get that screen.

    Oh well.

    All,

    Could each of you try something for me? I would like for you to go to the main site and click the log out link. Then proceed to login. From the main gcsaa.org page, click on the forums link. Mainly I want to know if you are still logged in at that point.

    Btw - Normally, which site do you start from?

    Thanks,
    Chad

    Chad,

    Same problem I was trying to describe several weeks back. Sometimes it saves my information, other times it doesn't. I always start from the home page and then go to the forums. I click the button to remember info each time but it never goes more than a day or two without asking me to log in again.

    Thanks. Gary

    Gary,

    We just attempted that path here at GCSAA and sure enough we are seeing the same issue. There appears to be an issue with the remember me checkbox on the home page. We have now started researching how to fix this issue. The moment we believe it is fixed we will let you know.

    Are everyone else's issues related to the remember me checkbox from the home page?

    Thanks,
    Chad

    The thing I see is I start at the home page, it won't show me logged in but I can go to the forums and then it shows I'm logged in. This is both at work and home. When I try to check the job board or other areas that I need to be logged into, I sometimes have to log in, that happens at work more then home, maybe because I won't hit the remember me box at work?

    Thanks for your help, Chad. I bookmark the unread posts....hasn't been a problem until recently.

    I was able to access the forum after returning to the home page, logging out, and logging back in as you suggested. I could navigate away from the page and return without any problems. However, I had to login again when I attempted to return about an hour later after closing the browser window(Firefox). I have double-checked my browser settings, and do not have this issue with other sites.

    Mel & Kevin,

    Strange...We just noticed that http://www.gcsaa.org is handling our signon process correctly. But not http://gcsaa.org.

    For example, if you go to http://www.gcsaa.org and sign in, then you attempt to go to http://gcsaa.org, you will no longer be signed in. :?

    This will be fixed soon. But it may have been this way for a very long time. I am hopeful that fixing this will at least solve some of these issues. I will post the moment this one is fixed.

    Thanks,
    Chad

    I've noticed that when I got to the homepage (www.gcsaa.org) I am logged in. Then if I try to view the TGIF, it shows me logged in but states I am not. I have to log out first, log in again, then am able to view the files.

    All,

    The http://www.gcsaa.org / http://gcsaa.org issue has now been resolved. It no longer matters which link you use in regards to your login process.

    Thanks,
    Chad

    Chad,I was logged in but had to reenter everything to get to the forums. Captain, I'm not sure how long I have been using the forums. I remember PDI debate, where did Buddah go? I also remember the list of 10 greatest athletes of the century. Hammer nailed it with the greatest of all time had to be Bugs Bunny. Not a lot of problems with those forums but they sure were slllloooooow.

    Chad or staff,

    Seems like the same issue is happening again. I went to through the home page and it showed me logged in. When I went to the forums it asked me to login again.

    Thanks. Gary

    Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I have to log on all the time. It's been weeks now.

    If you guys do exactly as I instruct, you will never have this problem again.

    First, you want to {This message has been removed in conjunction with GCSAA's forum policies.}

    Andy,

    This is going to sound awful but...What is the TGIF system? :oops: I remember TGIF from school but I can't imagine how that would relate to GCSAA. I think I have heard people around here mention it but I don't think I have any knowledge of what it is.

    Thanks,
    Chad

    Just an FYI,

    Not a big deal to me but now it doesn't show me logged in on the home page but I can get into the forums no problem.

    Thanks.

    I still have to login on the home page [u">every[/u"> time...
    When I navigate to the forums, I have to login a second time....
    [attachment=0">Forum Login.jpg[/attachment">
    It happens at home (mac), at work (pc), and on my laptop (mac)... running Firefox on all three computers.
    GCSAA.org is the only site I use that has this problem. Other sites I visit have no trouble remembering me.

    Ha, that pic is from a photo shoot at my old course last summer. Didn't know if I would ever see them used...

    Log out of the forums and then go back to the forum link. You should see it. Took me a while to find it since I usually stay logged in.

    I too am still having the problem, home and work both pc . I have just come to terms with the fact that we can not have a website that works properly. I use a number of other sites and forums with never a problem but the one I pay $300 a year to be a part of stinks. BTW could not log into the web site this morning........but it let me log into the forums.
    Just went back and tried the web-site, it logged me in, although it took 90 seconds for it to decide...........
