Going to try using revolution from aquatrols in a couple locations this year. The vendor mentioned to spray it alone, but the label says it tank mixes really well. Not that I want to put a ton in with it, but a little urea and iron are what I was thinking of dumping in.

Looking for a little experience from my peers on this one.

I use revolution exclusively on my greens. No problem with Urea, iron etc but you will see greater uptake by the plant and much quicker. I would stay away from mixing it petroleum distillates and although they say differently it can have phyto with Banner

I have been using Revolution on bent in SC for about 5 years...it has been a game changer with hand watering. My biggest comment/criticism with the product is that, depending on weather, I get about 21-28 days with it. You will know when it is gone because you will start hotspoting. Spray it again, and LDS is pretty much in control. It is impressive, but you will know when it is gone.

I don't generally tank mix much with wetting agents, but have put several light fertilizers in with this product, flicked the heads at application, and watered in that night. No issues.

I wouldn't do much more than that, however, the compatibility chart is posted in my office for one of those occasions...

Thanks guys. I figured I'd be okay with a minimal amount of nutrients in the tank. More or less just a taste while out there. I'll do a little jar test prior to mixing, but don't feel it should be an issue.

Nice chart, I'm going to get on our rep and tell him to give one out with ANY aquatrols purchase. If the research is info is available, they should provide it to make themselves look better I would think.

    Nice chart.

I am hesitant to put anything in the tank with Revolution because of the irrigation requirements. But might start, say put my Primo in.

I don't run any irrigation on it until that night, I come back and turn the water on and have it run for 30 to 40 minutes to get it down into the soil profile. As I understand the product, if a few minute cycle will take it off the surface and then stops where the irrigation takes it, then It is locked in. I used to hear complaints about Revolution because the top of the profile would be soggy, and it was attributed to watering methods from what I remember.

I have never had any issues with mixing products with Revolution. I am known to mix a witch's brew. Revolution with ammonium sulfate, FeSo4, Humic Acid, a liquid P and K product from Planet Turf called Steric P and K. I use 2 gallons of volume application. I water in with 6-9 minutes right after application and then water with a full 30 minute cycle that night. Works great. I do it every 4 weeks.

Sounds like you guys are watering much deeper than I am...we will run about a 5 minute cycle at application, then 8 to 10 minutes that night. This is on part circle heads...equates to around .3" to .4" of rain according to an ancient irrigation audit.

I think the label calls for .3" of water. I figure I am trying to place the product in the root zone and not move it past. I am in good shape below about a 3" depth on my mix, so for me, no real need to move it deep. We have seen drastically deeper roots with this program, although with the wet weather this year, I used a penetrant on the shoulder seasons to dry down. So-so results, we are now back on Revolution for the summer stress months.
