New web site is getting to be very frustrating. First multiple log ins make it cumbersome and now I try to access the membership directory and it tells me I do not have permission to access that area. What a pain. I hope the next time we roll something out all of the bugs are fixed!

    Rick,

Having to login multiple times should only affect you when you move from one subsystem to another. Such as moving from the forums to the new site. Or from the new site to the old. We are working on a method to reduce the number of times that you are required to login but that solution is not in place yet.

Is there a certain page or section that is requiring you to login more than once?
Are you checking the "Remember Me" checkbox before you click the login button?
What Computer OS and browser are you using?

When you receive the permission denied message trying to view the membership directory were you already logged in? Could you try the following link to see if you can view the membership directory on the new site:
http://www.gcsaa.org/Community/Membership-Directory.aspx? It will require that you login first.

You also mention that you have seen bugs in the site. What types of errors are you receiving? If you could give some more information on the bugs like what page you were attempting to visit then we can begin tracking them down and solving them.

I have to log in almost everytime I access the site. Yes I do have the remember me button clicked. Just seems to have little problems that should have been worked out before going on line in my opinion.

    Rick,

I reset your account for the web. This should clean up any issues that you were experiencing. This situation was apparently happening to one other user that we were aware of as well, especially concerning the Membership Directory.

One of the main issues with the site was after we tested it and even with our test group of superintendents in place we did not face any of these issues. Then when everyone began hitting the site there were configurations that never came up. Luckily we are now down to only a handful of problems that should be resolved very soon. Then slowly but surely you will begin seeing more of the site move from the old system to the new.

btw - If you are still having this issue or any other issues, just post inside of this forum. With the advent of this new forum we are monitoring it 24/7. Well...maybe not 24/7... :)

Stephen - the online membership directory is also easily accessible from the drop-down box that appears when you click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the web page. You can also access real-time member contact information from online directory on the GCSAA Member App.
