Tracy why you asking the Capt. to keep his head up? Do you have a golf match set with him?

Capt. Didn't know you needed that, Get well soon.

No I don't have a golf match but would like to see him be able to swing a club soon. It is my understanding that accident turned out a little worse than expected and he had to spend more time in the hospital. Those pictures looked really bad but I'm hearing he should be good to go soon but fighting a little battle to get through it. He's a tough old man and should be fine.

Just emailed the Capt yesterday inquiring why he did not play in the tournament. Did not know he had an accident.

Hey Corey those pictures looked really bad. He looked like someone kicked his ass and robbed him. Major black eye. Bottom line is it turned out a little worse than expected from what one of his daughters was saying. But he should be well soon enough. I'm sure he would like to hear from some of you.

Hey guys, I can only go by the information one of his daughters is giving me and some may know even more than I am hearing, but it sounds like Ron can use some support to get over this hurdle in his life. If you know him and have not talked to him in a while maybe give him a shout in some form. He may not be able to respond but it might help lift him over this hurdle.

    Thanks,
    Tracy

Thank you all for your kindness. I have learned about my 3 daughters escapades. I just found a computer and tried to work on it. I am a little slow.

    Greetings;

To let you know what is going on, I suffered a fall on 25 of January and I was in Beth Israel Deaconess Boston Hospital then sent back home . It turned out worse than expected. I was sent back to Boston and had brain surgery on 02/13/13. I guess they drilled in my head to release pressure. I have been at rehab since 02/19/13.

This is my second rehab center I am at. I will be home this Friday. Presently, I am doing real well and I don't need a walker and I can walk on my own. I still have some learning problems but am learning very well. My children have told me some funny stories about my surgery but i don't remember the surgery but I do remember the stories. When my hands get a little steadier I will tell you about them.

Thank you all for your kindness-and I will write later on.

Captain, pull out your tricorder, scan your head and you should be immediately healed. That is what the TV Captain Kirk would do! Best wishes during your recovery. Hopefully, you will be able to get out on the golf course for some really great therapy. Take care!

    Ron,

Funny how our daughters will always be Daddy's girls. Keep healing, some times the healing is for those that care for us too. Sending prayers and giving thanks for our "Resident Alien".

    Captain,

Your daughter wanted me to post something on the forum about your getting better and I was ready but you already hit the nail on the head. No pun intended. That video of your 70th birthday was great. All of you up there seem to talk funny.

Bottom line is she said you were doing a lot better. That is great news.

    Nice one Peach,
Thanks for keeping us updated until the Capt. was able to update us himself.

Great news Capt., I'm sure my long lost brothers are looking for you to get out and about and drop off a donation for them.

    Capt Kirk,

As one who went through Brain surgery for epilepsy, I had a left temporal lobectomy! They removed the portion of my left temporal lobe causing my seizures, I understand completely what you may be going through with a brain surgery! It is no fun, and not a quick recovery! My short term memory was and still is difficult. I keep a note pad handy at home and work, but over time it gets better! I hope you the best and for sure again will be saying a prayer for you in shul this shabbat! As a member of the starship enterprise I am one of your crew, I will do my best to be on your team for ever! You stay cool and be patient, time will cure you, I overcame epilepsy and am a lucky one, you too can be one with life again!! If I can do something for you please do not hesitate to ask, I know a lot about brain surgery and its after effects, then how to recover from it!!! Look me up, beam me up I am here for you!!!

It just goes to show how golf course employees should be equipped with hard hats.

    Steve,

I am employed part time as a club house employee. No hard hat would have helped me or prevented my fall when I left the clubhouse.

To be truthfull it has been your posts that have kept me going. You have a lot of courage and you are a pretty brave guy. So far so good for me. Hopefully by mid April I can be back to work and driving again. And, maybe the casino. The doctor told my family I had a good looking brain for a man my age.

You are right, it does get better with time. It is amazing how it does and you and I understand that. Question, can you still board a plane with Titanic Screws?

I have the speech therapist coming to the house now so I better get ready for her. Yes, they are all pretty!!!

    Capt. K.

I am lucky in the respect that when they did my Frontal Lobectomy they were able to utilize about ten crimps that came out about a week after the surgery. I also am a very quick healer my blood clots quick so extra bleeding for me is not an issue. In fact when I give blood they got to be quick or it clots so fast they get less than a pint. I am a B+ and everyone wants my blood type! I just want you to know I am on your A team also and will be by your side at all time during your recovery!! So keep up the good work and remain positive! I am sure your family is also there big time for you!! I again am thinking and praying for you especially on the Sabbath!

Scotty beam me up we got to get the Capt. back on track!
