    By this, I mean.....

    1. Attend city / county council meetings to pressure against fertilizer restrictions?
    2. Write my congressman or the EPA regarding pesticide restrictions?
    3. Send a note to my Congressman regarding being forced to comply with ADA rules?

In any other industry, wouldn't this be the responsibility of the people who actually own the business?

    Regards,

    Steve

You might also ask why you are responsible for helping generate funds for agronomic research that also primarily benefits golfers and golf course owners. I think the golf industry is unique in this regard - the professionals who maintain the facilities are responsible for long-term business vision.

I am sure I was not the only one who was asked about my "time away from work" to address these issues. I did it to pay back those who came before. I think that justification has become unacceptable in light of the concerted, well-funded and highly emotional efforts being put forth by our adversaries. In addition to this, those who came before me did not have the regulatory requirements with possible fines on (turfgrass) managers the way it is now.

Questions I have asked myself a thousand times, Steve. Another one- why do our water management districts put us into a "recreational/aesthetic" classification?
