Wondering if anyone out there have written policies for disabled golfers using the blue handicap flags or if there are any links to guidelines.
    Thanks

Anyone that walks in and requests a flag get one. No questions, company policy. The inmates run the asylum here.

No need for Handicap Flags around here.

Our Policy is, "Carts must have at least 3 wheels on the ground at all times"
But most golfers here are considerate...they keep all 4 down about 85% of the time.

Thanks for the replies and yes, I too have drivers of golf carts that refuse to understand that cart path only signs mean CART PATH ONLY!!! all 4 tires.
I was however able to find some info from NGCOA, ADA and Newport News Golf club.

Our members must provide a Medical report or Doctors note explaining the need for a cart.

We allow the flags, but parking on the collar of the green is what most end up doing. Not enough to really worry about. It just gives my guys something to laugh about.

I try to do very few restrictions, but when I have to go cart path only it applies to everyone. I did a very in depth study that resulted in finding that even if you have a doctors note, your tires can do the same damage as everyone else. Also being in the mountains, golfer safety is a big part of cart path only. A soaked course can result in a crashed cart. I don't feel that someone that is handicap has additional rights to ruin the golf course and take a greater risk of being hurt. In Arizona, I have maybe 10-14 days a year that have to be cart path only, so that does help with having no exceptions. I know that probably doesn't help, but golfer safety is a good trump card.

Great to see you have golfers who try and emulate Nascar drivers !!!!!!!! but does remind of the written logs from four 15 year guys who did a week work as a superintendent last year , all completely separately put high light of the week " I learnt how to foot brake turn on golf buggy from Mr Ray " our Irrigation technician at the time, we try and take safety seriously here .

Most nationalities believe by paying a cart fee they have more privileges in breaking the rules at the course, sadly .
    Love the Photo
