toro 3100 does not spark when cranking Cancel The title field is required!

   I have a 3100 that will not spark when cranking. As soon as I take my hand off the key it will spark as long as the engine is turning over.

   To get it going temporarily you can unplug the coil ground wire. It's near the muffler, I think it's purple?

   Doesn't that tell you whether or not it is an engine issue or a safety issue?
   
   Check all your safety switches.
