"Opps, hehe, don't mind that orange water. It's nothing", said no BP official without media/public ridicule and billions in fines.

That photo of the kayakers is literally one mile from my house.

I know it must be sad to see in real life, but that is an awesome photo. I doubt it could be Photoshopped to look that neat.

I hope not much because we pay for it and the fine too. If you think about fines they are really crazy if you fine an oil company we pay the fine, they just raise prices. As with all fines. If you get a ticket who suffers your kids and family, no MickyDs this week and that movie sorry we red box for the month. Put someone in Jail they get free food and we pay 5 star resort prices for the care. We need to rethink a lot how we do things worldwide.

    Greg,

Those look like some cool jumping rocks. I love jumping off rocks when there's water below. Is the water deep enough to jump, when it's not orange?

Ohhhhh, dang! I'ma have to look you up when I go! I'm deleting something off my bucket list, which I've never even written down anyway, since this is way more important now.

How long 'til the water's not orange anymore?

Nah, the fine should be in the billions. If it's good for BP it's good for the EPA regardless of the source of the money. Don't forget "elections have consequences" - Barack Obama. Speaking of Berry, I wonder if he's going to call for the firing of Gina McCarthy and find "who's ass to kick" at the EPA.

What should give us all pause is the soft sell the media is giving this. Could you imagine if a private company had done this. Think of Exxon, of BP spills.
