Reel motor guards for a Toro 5410? Cancel The title field is required!

   Does anyone know if Toro or another company makes reel motor guards for the front outside reels on a 5410?
   
   I had a guy hit a bridge railing and broke off a motor and when we pulled the reels off to rebuild rollers I found half of the opposite motors lips broke off. I need a guard like the Jacobsens put on theirs. never had a motor broke on it in 16 years.

   So far there is no motor guard for the 5410's that I'm aware of. I'd be the first to buy them if available. We've had the same problem with motors being broken off. It's been suggested but....

   I am going to write a letter to Toro and let them know that I will not be buying another fairway mower unless they have them! I could easily go through 4-8 of the motors in the lifetime of the mowers (my Jac is 16 years old).

   You can always Make some for yourself. We learn new things everyday and create homemade custom modifications that serve our situation better.
