Our RM3100 lately cuts out but the engine doesn't kill. It typically happens when the operator is backing up, turning around and the mower is going up/ down an incline, it happens intermittently. First I thought it was a seat safety switch, because the operator had the seat all the way forward and only weighs about 90 lbs but I got on and had the same issues. We have replaced the fuel filter and checked the fuel pump and I'm not sure where to start next. Any ideas what's next to check? Thanks.

I think that 3100d has a CPU which will give you an indication if a safety switch is going out. Watch for flickering lights on the CPU while in operation. Could be the parking brake switch.

We had a similar problem with one of our fairway units and it turned out to be debris in the fuel tank. When the fuel level dropped below half or so, the unit would lose RPM/Power whenever they turned or changed direction. Removed tank and cleaned out and that solved the problem.
