Any clues to what would cause this type of after cut appearance?

This is a fairway, if it helps.

At first glance it is where your rollers overlap. Maybe list machine type, set up specifics, etc.

I have fought this some. I put the reels down in the shop, and painted different colors on the floor, where the front rollers hit and the rears. I then transferred these to a long stick and took it to the fairway... exact match. Some of this can be adjusted on certain machines with success.

In a lot of cases it's the double cut from where the reels overlap. Sometimes it can be adjust by reel or ground speed. A flatter bedknife attitude with extended knives will help out a little also. Our bent fairways never have those lines, but our poa/bent get them often, unless we're under primo regulation or mowing daily. If they're growing aggressively we see them right after, and the next day none. We do a shade cut and mow in gang formation, so that has some to with it too. If it's a Deere or Toro, you can make some easy adjustments. If it's a Jac, you can only change bedknives and rollers to change bedknife attitude as the frames are fixed.

This may help explain some of what Rusty And Skip are talking about.
