Hi everyone, we have a pond that is 1 surface acre about 3 feet deep. We do not irrigate out of the pond. We have had duckweed growing in the bottom and have tried to keep it out with copper sulfate at no luck. I was thinking about trying clipper and just wondering if anyone else has had any success. Once every 2 weeks we have to top off the pond with about 10 inches of water. Also wondering what type of dye you guys are using to try and keep sunlight at a minimum.

    Kipp,

Clipper has been awesome for me with Duckweed in SW Florida. I don't use any pond dye so can't help you there. I split it in to two apps, half the pond each time, and it took it right out without harming any of my desirables. Give it a shot, highly recommend it.

I really like clipper on all my surface growing weeds. One app does the trick. I don't use dye either.

What rates are you guys using the clipper? What would you recomend if you irrigate out of the lake?

    Thanks!

Has anyone seen any damage from overspray or drift on the pond banks or non target plants with Clipper? I used it once and it was tough to get all the duckweed tucked along the banks and other plants and the duckweed came back pretty quickly.
