Out behind my shop I found a National Verticutter that was buried in the weeds. I just started this job last season and had no idea they owned one of these. It looks like a pretty good tool to have if we can get it up to speed. It's pulled behind a tractor, has a hydraulic lift and is PTO driven. I did a search for National Verticutter and found mowers and things like that. Unfortunately the tag that displays the model number has decayed and all I could make out was ser or 5er. If anyone has any information on where I could get an operator's manual or parts I would greatly appreciate it.

    Andy,

Its not really that old. I would call National at 920-756-4688 and ask them or contact your local distributor. I see many of the manuals online but not the verticutter.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the information, I will give that a try. Looking forward to getting this unit out on the course next year.

    Andy,

We owned one at my previous course. If it is the belt drive unit don't expect to get too aggressive. W never really wanted to go too aggressive so it worked well as more of a groomer. Than burning up and slipping belts a good unit.

Grooming is better than doing nothing at all. Maybe we can fabricate it to get more aggressive if needed. We haven't spent a lot of time looking at it due to the fact I wasn't sure if we could get parts for it.
