We have inherited a DMI Speedroller. We are having problems with climbing up hills and even onto the trailer. Any ideas to help relieve this?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Get rid of it ! Had one for a couple years, finally stopped using it because it was so time consuming and such a hassle. Couldn't figure anything out to make it run better. Borrowed a Tru Turf, not a problem anywhere we used it. Lost the Sped Roller real fast. Imagine that's why you "inherited" it. Worthless. Just my opinion.

They are good rollers. You need to keep the clutches adjusted properly and good belts on them. Keep the clutches greased, and it's just a jam nut and allen bolt on the clutch where you make your adjustment. I can look up the info if needed as I don't any those unit right now, but the climbing issues were easily taking care of on ours as long as I stayed up with the belts and adjustments.

    Regards,

I have a DMI Speedroller and like Skip says you need to keep up on the adjustment of the clutched and the belt tension, simple adjustments made with the cover off, takes about 10-15 minutes tops to do. I check mine every time they come back in.

DMI clutch adjustment is with the pedal pushed down approximately 1" the clutch should move between 1/8" to 3/16". Loosen the jam nut and then adjust the clutch with the back bolt. If you go to speedroller.com you can download the manual and see the adjustment procedure clearly.
