On Groundhog's day, I saw a Cardinal in my back yard. Today, there is a Bluejay in the same tree.

I live in southern Vermont. It is maybe 20 out and there is 4-5" of frozen snow on the ground. Seems like winter, but seeing the birds makes me wonder if spring is just around the corner.

The long-range forecast models have some mild weather for the end of february here in the lower Adirondacks. Also took some samples from tee's and fairways earlier this month. Before the most recent snowstorm, had some promising recovery from the turf,we will see what the rest of the month has to come.

Here in the foothills of the green mtns @ 1900 ft. Have seen some deer starting to wander but still have 30% snow cover on turf. Greens at this point do look promising and better than average year. It is however not over yet, had single digit days past weekend with exposed turf hoping for the best. Hi Alden.
