Have been asked to get opinions. Have severely hilly fairways, as much as 180 ft elevation change with many (mostly) side hill lies. They are Tifway and Midlawn bermudas that are primo treated. This is a retirement community with the average golfer age (male and female) in the upper sixties with very few, less than 10%, ball strikers and the rest sweepers.

    Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks, Terry

Anywhere from .650" to .900" should work for that segment of the population.

I have a similiar demographic also on Bermudagrass, but not as hilly. I keep my 419 fairways at .750 and my 419 roughs at 1 1/4" .

    Regards,

    Steve

I have a high amount of senior members and find they are happy with my fairways at .700" which is about as high as my fairway mowers can be set without buying different adjusters or rollers.

They complain when I try to lower them.
