We experienced Pythium volutum on the greens this summer. We treated it and had OK results. It disappeared following September aerification. I applied Segway as temperatures reached 75 degrees in Oct and followed it with Insignia in 24 days. Every time we get a warm-up it is visible. I hate to keep throwing $$$ at it. Any experience or suggestions would be appreciated.

Richard, we have been battling Volutum for years until last year when I made a change in our fungicide program.
I got the idea from one of Lane Treadways programs. We went with Disarm in late March, then again 28 days later with Disarm. 28 days later in May we went with Segway and then Insignia 28 days later. First year in last 6 that we saw no signs of Pythium Volutum.

    Thanks Dan,

I was a bit concerned with the resistance to the Strobilurins. As I understand it, Disarm, Segway and Insignia are all in this class. I did see some control this summer using Lane's regimen, but am looking for preventative vs. curative. At this point, I will try anything. Thanks again

Dealing with it for years. Preventative in the fall and spring have not been successful in my case. I treat once a month in the summer. Segway in June, Signature+Banol in July and Insignia in August.
