Boy, you Steeler fans must really be depressed this morning. Your team just got beat by a Norv Turner led poor Charger team! That is right there with Arizona losing 58-0. I can't believe it even happened. I feel for you guys, especially if that loss ends up keeping you out of the playoffs. What did your team do to tick off the football gods?

The football gods must want Turner to stay in San Diego? With all the rumors that the GM and Turner are out at the end of the season, they will make a charge and then the GM and Norv, will convince ownership that they are one good off season away from turning this around.

Please Mel, don't even mention such blasphemy! That suggestion is a sin against humanity! He and AJ Smith must go!

But Sandy, I see it regularly here in Kansas City, why should we be the only ones to suffer?

    Sandy,

Mel beat me to it!!!! I'm pretty sure if the Chargers win a few more games there will be no need to look for a new coach as things will be starting to turn around for the franchise. I think they are only a "few players" away from being Super Bowl contenders.

Hope you are getting the slots warmed up!! The wife is already set for a visit in February to your establishment as well as a few others!!

You guys are brutal! In the name of Obama's fairness, we must have a miserable football team to spread the misery. I mean wealth? How about if I suggest that Norv and AJ take over the reins for both KC and Oakland since they are both genius. They should be able to fairly coach and manage both teams! Mel, I don't know what has happened to your Chiefs over the years. They used to be a first class franchise. Gary, you on the other hand have all been cursed by the name of Al Davis. It may be a generational thing to fix that broken down organization. I will happily give either or both of you guys Norv. Give me a tough guy that builds a team around his mentality. I want Bill Cowher out of the booth and on the San Diego sidelines calling the shots!
Gary, as far as the slots, I am putting in a special request to loosen them up just for you and your wife! I hope you both make it to San Diego so we can all laugh about our pro football teams. Thank goodness for the San Diego State Aztecs. The football is in a bowl game and our basketball team is the best in California and rated 17th in the current poll. Life isn't all bad here!

    Sandy,

Although I attended a few of their games the last few years because they have helped support our non-profit, not really an avid Raiders fan (I do like them more than the 49'ers). Inside word is that they are really going to make an effort to change their image and build a solid future. Hard to know when you keep hearing all that moving back to LA talk.

Mostly I still root for my old hometown teams leaving me with the Lions, Tigers and Pistons. Looks like no hockey in Hockeytown this year so it will be long winter. My Spartan basketball team is still pretty good but it could be long year in the Big Ten. Football team that sputtered all year still going to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl (Huh?) but I won't be traveling for that either.

I'll save my money for your place. So you can adjust accordingly, I'm strictly a video poker player but the wife will donate her money throughout the entire place. Just let us break even and we're real happy!!!

    Take care. Gary

Its the Steeler's M.O. this year, losing to dogs. Injuries have been a big factor too.

The offense has taken a whole new look this year. The Steelers were always a "3 yards in a cloud of dust" kinda team with the big bruising full backs running it up the gut. They have moved to a pass first offense. Not sure if I can place my finger on the change of offense as the reason for the stumble this year. Whatever the reason, they obviously need to figure it out. I hate losing to any team that wears baby blue colors.

The Chargers were on TV? I'm so used to them being 'blacked out' due to low ticket sales that I hardly ever check to see if they're on. Marty got fired after a 14-2 season, yet Turner gets to stick around after all these years of mediocrity. The fix is in. LA Chargers coming soon.
