I bought some urea to spray fairways. I thought I bought spray grade, but looks like plain old ag grade urea was put in the wrong bag. My question is can I still dissolve through my sprayer screen and discard what doesn't go into the tank and spray it? I have another inline screen but can't remember the mesh. The screen on top of the sprayer is pretty fine, I think finer than the inline screen. Sprayer is a Smithco spraystar 3000 if that matters. I could also add screens for my nozzles too if need be, but prefer not to.

I appreciate any and all response's

I would spread the dirty urea in the rough somewhere with a fertilizer spreader to use it up and buy some clean urea for the sprayer. How many bags of the dirty stuff do you have?

If you don't want to go that way I have dissolved dirty urea in the fill basket strainer and thrown away the contaminants.

If you have a filler screen it should catch most if not all of the contaminates. We get this from time to time but it has been a few years since we had a bad batch even with ag grade material.

Never had an issue using Ag grade Urea. Melt it down using your strainer basket. It's cheaper this way, too.
