I am looking to find some Toro 655 part circle rotors. Toro no longer makes them and I have about 4 dozen on my course and would sure like to have some extras for when they break, adjustment stops working, etc. Does anyone have a good source to buy used/refurbished 655s for a reasonable price. I appreciate any suggestions!

Try contacting Dan at turfhead.com 1-317-903-9869, he has a lot of misc heads. I have bought many different heads and guts from him and everything has been in good shape and very reasonable price.

I was not aware of Toro discontinuing these parts either. I know they went with the infinity heads but I'm pretty sure those are the some internals as the 650 series. I have quite a few 655 also.

I get all my irrigation heads from him and he can find pretty much anything.

My question is why(besides cost) would you want to stick with the 655's when there are much more efficient and better heads on the market? The 800 series (being renamed the Flex 50 series) are much more efficient and have a better distribution pattern than the 650 series and work at lower pressures.

Thanks for all of the replies!
Andy-Because the 800 series internal requires a conversion kit for the 650 body. They are not only difficult to get set up, but also do not hold adjustment that well. I have tried that, and once you do get the conversion kit in place, you can not remove the internal with out it being a tremendous hassle for my hourly employees(we do a lot of hand watering). Pressure is not an issue for us. I would love to have 800s, however, do not always want to change the body when a rotor stops turning!
