We had to regrade and re grass our 6th green this fall so I set up a camera to take a shot every 10 seconds during the process. What you are seeing is 5 days condensed into 7 minutes. The most interesting thing to me is how the clouds seem to move in different directions at different elevations.

    Red,
Went to play the video and said it is private. Would of been interesting to see your work.

You have to be on Red's "Friends List."

    I can't open it either.

    Private...

Must be some inappropriate streaking in the video.

It should be open now. You're best to click the youtube button and put it on full screen

Nicely done, Red. Who was the chap that face-bombed the camera? Digging the choice of music too.

I noticed you initially rolled the green directly on top of the sod then rolled a second time rolling on top of plywood. Were there compression issues when you rolled directly on top of the sod?

Awesome Larry! What kind of camera set up did you use? I'm assuming you set it up every morning and took it back down every night?

    Red,

What grass type did you put down? Was this one of your ice collector greens?

    Great job,

Didn't see it in full screen yet and it might answer some of my questions. Did you save you sod and reuse it?

Where you lessening slopes and where you incorporating more sandy material?

Congrats to all of your guys for a job well done.

The face bomber is no longer with us but his name was Tim Hoar
We started to roll without the plywood but it was leaving a bit of a ridge on the outer edge of the drum so the plywood seemed to eliminate that.

Yep, went out each morning and set it up, battery change at noon and picked it up late day. The toughest thing is getting the exposure with the different light during the day. I had it on auto but found I had to increase it by almost a full stop after reviewing the first days shots
Nikon D800E set to F16 depending on the time of day the shutter speed varied from 1/15 of a second to 1/250
ISO at 400 Shots every 10 seconds

A4 grown on our own nursery with the same mix we topped up the green with, and yes it had two birdbaths in it with ice kill each spring

The sod removed was stacked on skids and stored in the shop for about a week before we went out to patch some fairways with the florescent yellow grass. The green had some major birdbaths so we added material everywhere and more in the depressions to get proper surface drainage. I know it was a mickey mouse rebuild but I couldn't stand looking at it anymore. If the A4 gives us a couple of good years before a proper rebuild can be done, I will be happy. If not, well it won't be any worse than what we had

I disagree, nothing Micky Mouse about it.
