   Has anyone used a 1 ton roller after aerifying their greens or tees. Thinking about trying one out and would like pros and cons. Thanks.

   Have in the past. I always though it defeats the purpose though. Now we topdress, aerify, then brush/roll at the same time. Nothing with tires goes on the green for about seven days. No ruts and the greens remain smooth.
   
   If you do decide on the 1 ton roller, make sure whoever operates it does not fill up the water tank with fuel. Came real close a few times to having a major disaster on our hands but fortunately caught it before it went out.

   We used a vibratory 1 ton roller after arerifying our collars to help lower them. It actually worked (a little). If we were to use it every time we punched them our results would have been more measurable.

   I do not see too many cons in using one other then they are slow and getting them from hole to hole may be a task. They will do the job but are your greens that bad in the first place. No matter how well you fill the holes your mowers will leave tracks (unless you walk mow) you will have to roll out. I have a speed roller we use but also built a 6' wide steel pipe roller we pull behind our Cushman.
   
   A tip; if you want to see how bumpy your greens are just pull your truck in front of them after dark with your lights shining on them. the shadow effect will show you every dip am bump.
