Toro 4500 blowing fuses Cancel The title field is required!

   We have a Toro 4500-D Rough Mower that blows a fuse every time the blades are engaged. We tried a new ramp up module and checked wires/ connections. Has anyone had this happen before. We are trying to find a fix before replacing the computer.

   Have your technician do a voltage drop test. Test the voltage going into the circuit at the time of engagement. Also check the output side as well. When voltage drops the amperage increases and exceeds the fuse rating.

   Just a hunch from past experience... check the wires entering the electric clutch. The constant wiggle can cause these to wear and short out. Good luck.
