Myself and 11 other guys are going to Vegas at the end of the month(Aug 30/31) for a bachelor party. All of us are avid golfers and most work in the industry or have a one time. Everything from Assistant Supers, Club Pros, Teaching Pros, Cart guys etc. We will be playing 2 times while we are there. My question is where should we play for the best experience, conditions, bev carts, food, near or not near the strip etc? Do any of you guys know of any ways to get discounted/comped rounds or any other deals in the area? Im not saying we arent willing to pay just throwing it out there that someone may know the right person for us to talk to. Any info will be appreciated and thanks in advance

Too many to name. I was out there at the same time last year. 98-100 at night, 105-110 during the day with no humidity. You'll feel hot, but won't sweat. Kind of like opening the oven door. Due to this, many courses offer an afternoon deal. Either way, they aren't busy in the summer at all, regardless of time of day.

I'd recommend Red Rock Country Club's Arroyo Course. Desert layout in a residential development out in Red Rock Canyon. Pristine conditions. Will take a bit to get there, but worth the 20 minute drive. Be sure to check out Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area next door. Worth the time.

Another good one right on the strip is Bali Hai. Short cab ride from anywhere. Awesome views of the strip from anywhere on the course.

The courses at Paiute Resort are worth a look and very affordable this time of the year. Never played them though, but have heard good reviews.

Lake Las Vegas isn't bad, but a drive from the strip.

If you can finagle Shadow Creek or the Wynn, do it. Both are a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Is this related to Finagle's Law of Dynamic Negatives?

I have been to Vegas three times in the summer, but never played golf. I must say it is a dry heat. It could be 110 but only feels 108.

We hiked in Red Rock Canyon early one morning. Temp was probably 100-105. Never felt uncomfortable. Compared to Florida heat, the lack of humidity makes it pretty decent and tolerable. Kept hydrated and drank tons of water. Never stopped for a bathroom break until late in the day. You sweat, but it dries before you notice it. We got such a good deal that time of the year, the heat won't keep me from returning.

Coyote Springs Golf Club. However it is a drive from the strip about 45 mins. I do know that hotels on strip will bus you out there if you book it at time of getting your room. I am an assistant here in Vegas and would agree that redrock is a great course as well as badlands. The Winn would be great also but be prepaired to spend a lot of money to get on.

Looks like we are playing Arroyo and the private course at Arroyo. Thanks for the suggestions, I left it up to the pro and he must have something up his sleeve. Probably wouldnt matter where 12 guys for a bachelor party weekend played. Drink, gamble, hydrate, repeat!
