We are planning to send our ball washers (7 years old) to a local body shop and have them professionally repainted. If anyone out there has done this before, can you share your costs.

    Kind regards

It's very feasible to do yourself - and as economical. Small sandblasting cabinets are a few hundred dollars (http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_333803_333803). High grade equipment enamel after priming will last for many years. Doing this, you can do a set of 18 ball washers for about $20-25/each even after buying the sand blaster. You'll also find you will use the sand blasting cabinet for so many other uses.

We get ours done for $45 per ball washer. We break them down ourselves and the guy we take them to will sand blast and powder coat for us. The results are great (the first few I had done have been on the course for about 18 months now and still look good as new). Like Andy's idea of bringing the costs down with my own sand blaster though...

Also, if this is the Ken Siems I think it is, I worked for you at LLGC back in the late 90's....just want to say thanks again for that opportunity, without it I might not be where I am today! :D

    Dear Andy and Chris,

Thanks for the recommendations and will take on board. Chris, great to hear from you and hope your keeping well. If you are heading to the GIS, maybe we can catch up there.

    regards and thanks
