   Hi,
   I am new to the growth regulator Ethephon and was wondering what people are using for rates and frequency.
   I read the label but was hoping for a bit more. I was advised to spray early march and again three weeks later. I did that last year and had good results but maybe it was just one of those years. Anyway I am growing poa annua greens in a temperate climate. Thanks.

   Here are a few research projects using Ethaphon (Proxy). For best turf performance, a combination with trinexapac-ethyl (Primo) is recommended.

   There has been quite a bit of research on timing of application. Proxy needs to be applied before seedheads fully develop and the about every 200 degree-days base 50 F.
