    Dear Fellow Peers,

Of those of you using TRIMS software for your golf courses would you recommend this system or not? What are the pros & cons? I would imagine it is quite labor intensive to input all of the required data to get accurate benefits of the system? Any other comments regarding this system are welcome?

    Thanks in advance,

I've been using Trims for over four years and love it. The support is just outstanding. You can track just about anything you want with it. I have been using it for equipment maintenance and repairs, and parts inventory. It takes a little time to get setup, but then it's just a matter of minutes per day to input your info. At my last club they were interested in using it for tree inventory. You can get all the modules, or the basics and add the rest as you go. I would recommend speaking with Susan about the product. We use the tricoder scanner, and bar code system for our equipment tracking. It takes us 20 to 30 minutes a week to scan all our equipment, about 5 minutes to upload the data and print a weeks worth of work orders for the shop, and that's for a 45+ hole operation. Like anything, you get out of it what you put in to it. You can generate reports, cost of repairs, cost of maintenance, on hand inventory, and what's on order. The list goes on and on, and it fits all your golf course needs.
