Anyone spraying Revolver around bentgrass greens to kill poa? How close are you getting? Anyone have any issues spraying Revolver up close? If so, any recommendations for alternatives?

    Thanks,

Haven't needed to in a few years but when we do, we try to leave a buffer of 2-3 feet from our collars which are about 5 feet wide and rye. Never spray up hill from the bent as revolver moves. We try to spray on a day when it will dry quickly and then irrigate lightly the next morning and possibly the following morning as well. Also try to keep equipment and players off as long as possible for the first couple days. Product will resolubalize in the dew and or light irrigation until completely washed off the leaves. I've had some tracking in the past but all it did was yellow the bent a little for about 7-10 days.

We used to use Certainty around our bentgrass greens. It, at some point, was labeled for Poa in bentgrass fairways so I figured a little movement or tracking wouldn't be as bad as some other applications. I checked the label and it seems that they have removed the bentgrass portion. We made a few applications around L-93 over a few years and never had any issues.

Revolver was used on zoysia around greens here I believe in middle spring before I got here. Heavy rain came that afternoon and carried paths of destruction across a few greens. The areas healed somewhat but before the summer heat came on but then showed up again during late July/August when heat stress set in.

As others cautioned, be really careful.
