Has anyone tried one out, and if so do you like it? I really want to try but $995.00 is and expensive trial.

Hi Richie, we have just purchased the ipro over here in the Netherlands after demoing a few different ones and I can say it is the best cup cutter I have used to date. It is extremely sturdy and well built. It leaves a great cut and very neat when replacing plugs. There are know real minuses, though it's quite heavy at about 9kg (20lbs) It adds to the durability and ease when hammering down. Highly recommended.

Tried it, didn't like it. Taking a plug in one bite on a firm green, it took excessive pounding. Then, the plug wouldn't eject. Not wanting to strain my back on the lever, I had to dig the plug out of the shell. Maybe a extension on the lever would help. If the plug has to be taken in 2 bites, I'll stick with the style that has been around for 40+ years.
