   I have been researching for an article on the costs of golf course maintenance equipment over the years. Specifically I need solid price information by make / brand on greens mowers, fairway mowers, trim mowers, etc. going back each year for at least 3 decades.

   Have you contacted the major brands (Toro, Deere, Jake)?
   That might be the only reliable way to gather that info, and quickly. They may even be able to provide suggested retail vs actual purchase price.
