Verticutting Cancel The title field is required!

   Hi all,
   
   We are going to start a thatch removal program on bent/poa fairways this season. We are researching different types of verticutters, and also looking at the all in one machines that cut and collect in same pass. The all in one's that also destroy cores would be nice.
   
   We have the go ahead to make a purchase to help get the job done, so.....
   
   What is everybody verticutting with and how do you like it?
   Does anybody have and can recommend an all in one machine? (turf tidy, wiedenmann, etc)

   We use a Wiedenmann Super 600 and love it. Works best on dry days (as you would expect).

   Second Craig's point --- Super 600. Also not bad for flail mowing native areas either.

   I've demoed the Super 600 several times. Awesome machine. Lots of concern about hopper size, but I believe the operator could dump on the cart path or out of play for removal later. I would buy one if the opportunity ever arises.

   We use the Super 500, slightly smaller than the 600 and has manual levers for the hydraulics. Best purchase we've made in a long time, use it year round. If we had the chance to do again we would would most likely upgrade to the 600 though.
   
   When using for verticutting (we will go DEEP 1/2" minimum) we bring the dump truck along to dump into. Use it for sticks and debris in spring and after storms, natives in the fall, and have picked up cores with as well. Just make sure you spend the extra coin to get the carbide tipped verticutting blades!

   Sisis Veemo Mk2- Only way to go if you want to go aggressive and be efficient. We run this anytime, wet or dry. Generally are able to make a few passes with the blower after the sisis, then mow and the mess is cleaned up. We do 9 Holes of fairways and tees per week through the summer.

   Yes, I'm late to this post...I know... I purchased a Super600 last July and have been somewhat disappointed with Verticutting, flail/fraise mowing and sweeping. I finally thought to remove the verticut blades for better fraise and sweeping capabilities. I was moderately pleased with the results until the drive belt burnt off after 3 passes in scarce bermuda native. My equipment tech and I ordered and replaced the belt recently but have been too busy with spring and tournaments to try it out again. I've tried about every depth on the front roller and even hovering the head unit(works well for flail mowing) but, It doesn't seem to get the job done like my vendor said or like the youtube videos I've watched... I'm pulling it with a brand new JD 4066m in A1,A2, plenty of RPMs... does anybody have any suggestions for what I'm doing wrong or how to get better use out of this behemoth?
