We are close to 90 days into our grow-in of roughly 150 acres of 419 bermuda and I was wondering what the most cost efficient and control effective spray mixtures any of you have used in the past for crab, goose, sedge, and all the other weeds that come with a grow-in. My main concern right now is that the grass has been in a drought stressed state for the majority of the grow-in due to the lack of rainfall and I don't want to go out and knock them back anymore than Mother Nature already has. Our morning temps have been staying close to 80 everyday and highs have been pushing 100 for what seems like the past 3 months. Any advice or opinions is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

When we sprigged our 10 acre practice facility with 419 a few years ago around mid May, we alternated spraying after 30 days of sprigging every 7 days with Certainty first, Revolver next, Monument, and then MSMA. We sprayed about two apps of each with liquid iron in the tank and came out of the grow in very clean. All those chemicals were very gentle on the 419 and covered about every weed we encountered like the ones you mentioned you have. We made the mistake of spraying an acres worth of Drive one app after 60 days for crab which fried the crabgrass, but sent our 419 back alot, will not do that again in the heat of the summer.
