Recently learned about the possibility of good environmentally friendly control of lots of different turf insects and more importantly red grub suppression from diatomaceous earth. I was led on to this from my soil guy, and am wondering if any out there have any experience with it. Other than finding a bulk supplier I would be interested to know about any possible downsides; turf damage, applicator precautions, harm to beneficial insects (other than the red grubs) and the all important "its a waste of time".
