I was wondering if anyone has experience with Champion putting greens and the use of PGR's. I have used them in the past on Tifeagle bermuda with great results. I am starting my first Superintendents job and the greens here have not had any PGR's on them and was wondering what would be recommended.

Start low, about 1oz/ac/week with a foliar package. And every couple of weeks work it up by 1/2 ounce/acre. Go until you aren't happy with the bronzing.

What Andy said. I'm at 3.17 oz./acre right now on my Champion. I apply it year round dropping it to around .5 oz./acre during the winter so that when I get that inevitable warm front I don't get a flush.

I guess I'm missing something here. Maybe because I've never grown Champion, and it isn't grown out this way.

The question is about Champion and PGRs. The answers are about rates and timing, from 0.5 oz to 3.1 oz, but no product names or active ingredients mentioned?

It doesn't matter which PGR, because they all go out at the same rate(s)?

Good point. In my case, I was talking about Primo Maxx. I don't know of anybody using any other PGR on their Champion greens besides the Primo.

Cannot spray Cutless on ultra dwarfs, unless you like updating your resume.

Trinexapac-ethyl 11.3% is the PGR I was referring to. Sorry to confuse you Pete.
