I was advised last night by a fellow superintendent that the best solution to preventing my dogs from ingesting the cats poop, was quite simple "Kill The Cat" While mulling over the aforementioned idea, I decided to spin some wax on the old turntable. Some comfort music from years gone by. For me, it happened to be John Prine (Jesus, The Missing Years) and Neil Young's (Tonight's The Night) From start to finish, each a gem in their own way. For Sandy, it might be some Tommy Dorsey Orchestra 78
It got me wondering what the rest of you guys find as comfort music. It has to be a full LP both sides or a complete CD, start to finish, not a weak track to be found. None of this singles stuff
PS Just as Neil Young broke into " It's too dark to put the key in my ignition, and the morning sun has yet to climb my hood ornament" A revelation came to me. Put the cats litter box up high where the dogs can't get at it. Himler, the six toed cat lives to eat another mouse.
    What say you?

Listened to a little bit of John last night after a long day, (Bruised Orange ) for me. Depends on my mood, either winding down after a long event or gearing up for another trip. The iPhone holds a lot of tunes.

Tonight's the Night is one my all-time favorites. Gotta play it full volume.

    Comfort albums start to finish:

    Robin Trower "Bridge of Sighs"
    Leon Russell "Carney"
    Alvin Lee "Pump Iron"
Isley Brothers "Go for Your Guns"

    Just to name a few...

    You should kill that cat.
In the mean time, listen to:

    Roy Orbison: Mystery Girl
    Dire Straits: Brothers in Arms
    Buena Vista social Club
    Chris Isaak: Always got tonight

    Regards,

    The cat killer

My relaxing and kick back album is Purple Rain by Prince and LL Cool J's Going Back to Cali album. I could of gone to my old school rap and thugs days and listen to Easy E and NWA.

Himler the cat. Is the name a play on letters?

Here's a few in no particular oder:

Bat out of Hell - Meatloaf
Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy - Elton John - (can't help wonder about the double entendre)
    Boston - Boston
News of the World - Queen
Frampton Comes Alive - Peter Frampton

No Larry, it isn't Dorsey or any of those old guys. If I am going way back in time it would be my high school days. It would be the Temptations, Righteous Brothers, Drifters, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles or I would switch to singers with really fine voices like Josh Groban, Sara Brightman, El Divo or some great guitar instrumental by Ottmar Liebert. I have changed my musical tastes a great deal over the years.

I'll keep quiet if you agree to bring the beer to the Social Media Gathering slumber party at Lamb's place. I'll bring the Huey Lewis cassettes.

Boston. That reminds me.....My daughter and youngest son always told me they couldn't stand any music by a band whose name is that of a city or state. To wit: Boston, Chicago, and Kansas. I couldn't disagree. It's rare, but sometimes our kids are right.

Zac Brown Band - The Foundation
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
