I have been tasked with writing Standard Operating Procedures for each of the positions on my maintenance staff. I would like to know if anyone else utilizes SOP's or if anyone has information that may be useful in writing them.

Brent,
25 to 30 years ago the USGA had some things out, of which I used to make my own at my previous course which helped. Check with them but if not send me an e-mail and I'll see if I can pass it along to you.

These are the job descriptions that the GCSAA has made available. It might be a good place to start.

Hey Brent,
Here is what I use. I go through it every winter and tweak it a bit but for the most part it hasn't changed much over the years. I have all returning employees and new hires read and sign it their first day of work.
Hope it helps.

Has anyone previously worked or currently working under a Standard Operating Procedure. If so what are your thoughts and/or Ideas on producing a manual. The secondary question is it worth the time and effort to produce a manual for multiple facilities? Any input would be appreciated!!
