Just wanted to know if anyone is using or has used Duplex on bentgrass greens as a primary source for controlling LDS. Any information on successes or concerns would be appreciated. I am not familiar with this product and just wanted some personal testimonies prior to applying it to my greens. I have recently acquired this position and there is 30 gallons of it sitting on the shelf. I thought I would use it prior to purchasing any other products. I did use it on my tees at .5 oz/ 1000 sq ft. I also applied it to one-half of my 1 year old nursery green. I see no adverse affects to my tees, but it almost appears that the half of the nursery green I applied it to looks slightly worse/ dryer than the other portion of the green. Again any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I used Duplex once and did not like the results. I've always liked Surf Side. Last year I used a product called Quickwater and liked it a lot. I can't find it anymore so I am back to Surf Side.

    Joe,

I use Duplex on a regular basis on my fairways. When flushing greens we will use it.

Keep in mind it is a water penetrant. It will keep water moving through the profile.

If your LDS is severe I have had great success with Aquatrols AquaDuct weekly for 2-3 apps at label rate (cant remember the rate off the top of my head) or until symptoms clear.

    Good luck!

    Joe,

Tank mix duplex @ 1oz/m with Magnus @ 4oz/m. This will provide you with adequate moisture right around the 4 to 6 inch depth.

Thanks for the heads up on the Duplex usage. LDS is currently not an issue but I am looking to prevent it from occuring. I have 4 greens that like to stay wet and I may try Duplex on one or two of them to move the water through the profile.
