50 years old and looking for a ride that's softer and takes less toll on my cervical spine and lower back than solid axle choices. The amount of miles Superintendents do on their carts in a year add up over the years. Trying to do something proactive about it now to avoid surgeries after I retire.

I know JD offers a handful of choices with IRS, but curious if anyone has successfully integrated a four-wheeler or ATV with IRS into their daily routine. I know it's common on grow-ins and construction, but how many are using them on established courses. I find the standing up position to be most comfortable and best for maintaining good posture wrt an ATV.

Any thoughts on it are appreciated.

My choice is the Kawasaki Mule. It has all you are asking for. 2wd will go anywhere but 4wd available. Quiet with a tight body.

We switched from the club car to the Toro MDX. My staff have commented several times how much nicer the ride is. May be worth a demo if you haven't already tried it.

Thanks, I've got a XUV855 and a GTX coming over for demo. How much I can wring out of the remaining budget will determine which

The GTX is much different from the MDX. I personally would not like the GTX as my everyday cart. Feels like you are in mini cooper without the "cool" factor. More along the lines of a SMART car.

for the time being you could take the seat on the cart you use and have the cushion replaced with some really good memory foam!

I've already had two back surgeries and since we do not have the luxury of purchasing a cart just for myself I tend to lift my butt off the seat a lot! sometimes I'll just walk a lot more. I do envy you in that you can consider your back when making purchases.

    Conclusion:
Just took delivery on a 3 year old JD XUV550 with 95 hours on it.
Floats over the bumps. Much less jarring. Thanks forthe input.
