We have been having issues with our RainBird 700 series rotors breaking around the top ring lately. The course was built in the late 90's with all Rainbird 700 ACME series heads.

This is a new issue this year and I am seeing it all the time now. I have had to go in and replace about 6 heads this year, on some greens, tees, and fairways. Needless to say its starting to cost. Has anyone else had this issue?

Also if anyone needs to get rid of some Rainbird 700 acme shells, and can except credit cards we would be interested.

    Thanks for the help.

just started at a new course built in 1996 with rainbird heads. Same exact thing is happening here except it has been building up and neglected and the cost to fix/replace is going to be high. Let me know if you find any used ones as I am in the same boat.

The afternoon mowing's I mentioned are on fairway units. Prior to spraying them we would have real hard crud buildup on the underside of the bedknives, and rear rollers. They now come back to the shop after washing, nice and clean with no debris still stuck to them.
