    Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with the forward rotating groomers vs' the reverse rotating groomers that Toro has for their Flex2100's? If no one has had any experience with this do you think the reverse rotating groomers would be too aggressive? I have used the standard forward rotating groomers for years but like the idea of the reverse rotation to really stand the grass up before cut. My situation is on Bermuda and Paspalum greens.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ross,

When we demoed the Baroness walk-behind a couple of years ago, they offered a forward/reverse groomer on their unit. On L-93 bentgrass greens at .120" the reverse groomers were definitely more aggressive and probably something we would only use 2 or 3 times per year. With paspalum or bermuda I could see them being of value for sure in grain and texture management.

    I hope this helps.

JD has had the reverse groomers and brushes out for a very long time and they work great.

We currently have forward rotating groomers on our Flex 21's. They work well but sand get thrown into the reels as opposed to the bucket. We are getting the new counter rotating brushes on our new Flex 2100's this April. We will have to adjust the height the brush is set at depending on current conditions but it makes a lot more sense to me on Bermuda. We have Mini Verde. We did demo the JD version and it worked great! Taking a gamble on the Toro.
